International School Breda (opened in 2011) has 350 children under one roof: from primary to secondary education. So, it is our mini United Nations in Breda, with pupils of some 44 nationalities from all over the world.

Avans University of Applied Sciences was chosen the best large university of applied sciences in the Netherlands in the Choice Guide HBO in 2021 (Keuzegids HBO). Avans builds knowledge for education and society.

BUas (Breda University of Applied Sciences) is a medium-sized, public institution of higher education. 7000 students are prepared for an international career, of which no fewer than 1200 are international students!

NLDA (Netherlands Defence Academy) trains military leaders. The academy is in the heart of Breda, in the Castle of Breda. The KMA (Royal Military Academy) was established here in 1828. Every year, 700 cadets and receive their training in military science.
